Danielle’s path to this book started long before she ever sat down to write it. Raised in New Orleans as the oldest of six, she learned to budget as a teenager working summer jobs, a mindset that carried her through a corporate career and, eventually, into starting Money in Matrimony, a community built to change how couples talk about money. What began as a blog grew into a business, and as an Accredited Financial Counselor, Danielle needed a resource that could extend her work beyond one-on-one sessions: a guided journal her clients could use to build real financial intimacy in their relationships.

Danielle came to us with an idea. Our team took it and built it out further, incorporating her thoughts and suggestions at every stage until the final product reflected not just her vision, but an elevated version of it.
